For us, Alexander Skancke stands for the rebirth of Contexterrior label, great news then !Born 1991 in Trondheim, Norway, Alexander Skancke grew up to be a shy guy spending most of his time with music and technology. This brought him later on into collecting both synthesizers and records. After studying sound design the last couple of years, Alexander has been drawn into his own universe of sound which he implement into his music. His inspiration sources is the nature which he has been surrounded by since his childhood. He has recently relocated to Berlin to widen his horizons. Vøiceless s’invite pour la première fois à l’Insula et ce de 23h à 05h ! Pour cette première, le collectif nantais invite Ben Vedren, le prodige qui a retourné plus d’une fois l’évènement parisien désormais incontournable, Concrete. Ne jurant que par leur live et leurs machines, le duo Analogik Resistant sera également de la partie pour vous distiller une techno coincée entre Detroit et Berlin. He plays long linear sets based on percussive elements, waves and chords. Japanese artist Kaitaro (aka Kai) was born in 1977. He started djing at the age of 17. He took his first step by spinning Hip Hop records, but later got into the world of minimal techno and house music around 2003. Since 2004, he is actively producing his own minimal tracks.He firstly released on Süd Electronic (owned by Portable) around 2005-2006. This was a big opportunity for him since he released on Alphahouse (Butane’s label) a few months later.He moved to Berlin in 2007 where he has performed live to gain experience. He is currently living in Berlin and focusing on live gigs and his own productions.

Hard to miss them today as they have recently released great stuff on labels such as Fear of Flying, Fasten Records, Tabla, including on Varoslav’s label, Rue de Plaisance. Here is the one hour ‘Kronkel Sessie’ of two soned guys mixing at a coffeeshop in their town.
